Careers by Design can provided counselling and support to employees faced with redundancy or career change. We also facilitate the person's transition into employment with another organisation through the provision of various outplacement support programs.
Through outplacement services with our organisation:
- Individuals are supported and coached to move forward into action after the experience of losing a job
- Each outplacement program is tailored, based on the skills and personal readiness of the individual, and based on the wishes of the sponsoring organisation

- Practical and supportive strategies for dealing with the impact of job loss
- Clarification and refocusing of life and career objectives following a loss of employment
- Developing self-esteem and confidence to take steps forward and move towards new opportunities
- Inventorying transferable and motivated skills, achievements and successes
- Clearly establishing decision making criteria and refreshing decision making skills
- Generating ideas, options and avenues for future employment possibilities
- Developing networking skills to provide support and contacts in career exploration activities and job search strategy

- Reviewing self marketing skills in resume and application preparation, interview presentation and performance, working effectively with employment agencies
- Implementing a comprehensive job search strategy including utilising the hidden job market
- Assessing self-employment as a career option
- Developing and evaluating the possibility of a portfolio career
- Managing your finacial situation as a result of job loss, during career transition and how it impacts on your decision making criteria in the job search
- Follow up and review of progress and refinement of strategies and skills based on marketplace feedback and experience.
